Microsoft terminated the Office Live Meeting application

Microsoft announced that it will stop using and developing Office Live Meeting on December 31, as all its features have been migrated to both Skype for Business and Skype Meeting Broadcast. The company said all data needs to be migrated by the end of this year and migration should proceed as planned until December 31. Guidance to assist customers in converting and recording export tools has also been released.

This application helps users easily download any or all of the meeting records listed in Live Meeting, which can be imported into both Skype for Business and Skype Meeting Broadcast software. Microsoft engineer Doug Deitterick also released a feature comparison chart showing that most of the Live Meeting features have been migrated to Skype for Business and Skype Meeting Broadcast with some valuable upgrades such as increasing the size of attendees from 1250 to none Less than 10,000 people.

In addition, the upgraded service also supports participation in meetings using a variety of Windows devices, including iOS and Android devices, and video-based screen sharing HD video. The user can find the Live Meeting Record Export Tool here. Microsoft said users should begin the transition as soon as possible to ensure that all data is exported by December 31.
